Getting back on track after Christmas

I feel like I need to give you some history for you to see my plight fully.
In May 2009 I met my husband. By June 2009 I had got down to 128 pounds despite going out on dates etc. I was 2 pounds away from target. I then went on a week's residential with my year group at school and put on a fair few pounds. I tried to get them off when I got back then before I knew it I was due to go on my planned two week cruise. Anyone that has been on one knows how much weight you put on without even trying. Anyway various things like that occured and before I knew it I had put on all the weight I had previously lost and some more to boot.
In September 2010 my husband proposed so I now had a real reason to get my weight off. I managed to lose 14 pounds before my wedding not that much but it helped. My dress had to be taken in anyway. Since coming back from my honeymoon my new reason to slim other than wanting to. Is to have babies. I am up to a weight loss currently of 21.5 pounds.
Over Christmas I was determined not to go backwards too much. I had lost 22 pounds prior to Christmas. So I only had Christmas day and boxing day off plan and I didn't end up drinking as I had an upset stomach. I put on 3 pounds in the week in between Christmas and new year. I was pretty upset by this considering I had been so good but moved on. I maintained the week after new year and last week lost 2.5 pounds.
However I don't know whether it is my brain saying you didn't have time off properly diet wise over Christmas you deserve a treat or its something else. (my husband has been working loads and I have had lots of time alone and have also suffered with an upset stomach.) I haven't been sticking to plan very well. Having great days then really bad days.
Last night I had a dream that I had started running and I looked at my records and the last time I had run I had smashed my personal best. I went on another run and smashed it again. I was feeling very proud of myself as in reality I hate to run! Then a girl that was there with me got on the scales and she weighed 10 stone 7 which would be 147 pounds. I real inspirational number to me. I decided to get on the scales and they read 13 stone 7 which is 19 pounds heavier than I was at my last weigh in.
I woke this morning with the mindset it is time to get serious. I am still not feeling quite up to early mornings to do workouts so I am going to aim to go on walks after work! Good luck everyone getting back on track after the celebrations!

  • Just read through this again. I typed it go a rush and miscalculated. 13 stone 7 is 189 pounds which is 33 pounds heavier than I was at last weigh in. I do not want this dream or rather nightmare to become a reality! Also I follow slimming world but use this website as an extra support mechanism! I found out there is a body attack class on tonight so off I go!
  • I got weighed in last night. Unfortunately, I had put on 1 pound. However, by staying to group I was reminded about the affect having a speed/ super speed week can have and resolved to have one this week. Another member had and lost 9.5 pounds. Doubt I will get that much but I am hoping for a good loss. Fingers crossed!
