Believe it or not I have found that lifting weights helps a lot. The more toned you are the more you can change your body type. The tighter you get the more change you will notice and your clothes will fit better. Zumba, circuit classes, boot camp and other aerobic type classes also help as you continue burning calories throughout the day with those activities. It's worked for me, I hope it works for you.

Make sure you are switching up your workout routine every few weeks as well. Your body gets used to a workout after about 2 weeks and it becomes a little less effective. Also, combining cardio and strength at the same time helps burn more calories. Have you heard of the pink method? It is supposed to be an exercise and eating plan that sheds pounds fast. Might be worth looking into. Or something like p90x or Jillian Michaels 30 day shred.

Agreed. Strength training will be a big help :)

The responses for exercise are valid. Another thing to consider though is that weight loss isn't immediately apparent for everyone. For me at least, I'll lose a mess of weight and won't look much different, and then a few pounds off on top of that and it's a complete change. Additionally since you see yourself everyday, any gradual changes can flow together and might be more difficult to notice. If you aren't already, take pictures of yourself to track progress. I do mine monthly. Good luck and don't get discouraged!
