Last year I went down to watch some friends run the Cooper River Bridge 10K and told myself that I was going to do get in shape and do it next year. Well I ended up putting on a bunch of weight and my girlfriend ended up breaking up with me before Christmas. So now I am super motivated to get myself back on track. I am not really a runner but I have been working in some HIIT training. For now I have been running 1 min intervals @ 6.5 w/ 5 deg incline and walking at a zero incline. Can someone give me some adivce to get ready for this run at the end of March.
Thanks
Kevin

Kevin,
Do the couch to 5k program to get you started. Also since you live in Waxhaw, go to Try Sports in Blakeny. They have a group training class for the Cooper Bridge Run.
