I agree that they're the devil, but I still do them anyway! I've only been doing them for a few days, but I feel the burn everytime. I read that the results come pretty quickly, so does anyone know how fast you see results doing them? I know it won't be anything overnight, I'm just curious is all! Thanks!

I've been doing them almost everyday for about 3 weeks now and I don't really see anything yet unless I am missing it lol

Laura... It depends on several factors I'd say.

    1. How often are you working your lower body?
    2. What quantity of reps are you doing, and are you using weights with your lunges?
    3. What's your definition of "results"? Where did you start from?

Here's something to try to guage where you are - a timed wall squat. Put your back flat against a wall, then lower yourself down to a "sitting" position with your quads parallel to the floor and your knees over your ankles. Time yourself to see how long you can remain in that position before you reach muscle failure. Assuming you're working out regularly, try this say once a month, and ideally you should see an increase in the time you're able to hold the position. That tells you the strength and endurance of your quadriceps muscles are improving

Granted squats and lunges work the glutes and backs of the legs, too, but this is a good way to give yourself a starting point to measure your progress against. Good luck!
