New to the message boards

Hi I've been with MFP for quite awhile, but I have never posted on the message boards. I'm struggling to lose weight. I'm basically starting over... in a way. I had surgery six weeks ago, so haven't really been exercising like I was last spring through summer when I was training for my triathlon. I started walking again and am really hoping my doctor will release me tomorrow to start triathlon training again. I've continued to put my food in MFP and have noticed my caloried intake is horrible, way above my goal, which of course is causing weight gain, especially since I'm not really working out. Starting today I'm trying to focus more on my nutrition again and see if that will kick start my weight loss, then once I'm back in training I'm hoping the weight will start dropping. That's the plan anyway :bigsmile: My long term goal is to lose 87 pounds, I have a long way to go, but I'm determined to get there. My first goal is to lose 22 pounds by my birthday (April 7th) and that will put me in ONE-der land....so I have 11 weeks, maybe putting it out there will help keep me accountable....
