And how much per week do you have it set to lose? I asked my doctor how many calories I should eat and she said anywhere from 1200 to 1600. I try to stay around 1500 a day, sometimes I have more and sometimes I have less. It just depends on how hungry I am that day! I, however have ate no less than 1400 yet! I was just curious as to what everyone elses goals were.

This site set mine at 1730 right now. It is set to lose 2 lbs a week but that doesn't happen for me.

    Good luck on your journey.

Right now I am at 1200 / day, however as my activity level increases I will have to adjust that number. I am working on about a 2 lb a week loss.

My daily goal starts at 1990 and usually ends up more around 2500 after exercise.

Edit: Goal is set to lose 1 lb/month, but I'm focusing more on body fat than weight, so my best friend is the measuring tape rather than the scale.

I increased calories to almost 3000 to account for my activity level, exercises and other variables, and I thought NO WAY! I was eating less than half that....

Out of the 65 lb total weight loss, half of that resulted from a higher calorie diet but slightly restricted with enough of a deficit to reflect a 1lb weekly weight loss.

    It worked!

And today I have a mere 10 lbs to go, eating around 3000 daily [except on rest days], losing 1 lb each week like clockwork.
If your input is right, all will be well.

    Good Luck!

Mine is set at 1410 for a one pound a week loss. I had it at 1650 for half a pound, but ended up not losing anything 1410 is working pretty well.

My calorie budget is higher than most due to my size. On days I workout really hard I can have as many as 5k calories. Sometimes I think I workout out so hard because I like to eat. I knew I was having pizza yesterday so I did 2 hours of cardio....it was good pizza. :)

I'm 5'5, 170ish pounds, lightly active. When I was set to lose 1 pound per week my calorie goal was 1500-1600 plus exercise calories.

My current goal is like 1530 I believe. Some days I eat it, some days I don't. When I exercise some days I have 2530 or more I could eat. On those days I sometimes eat back some exercise cals and some days I do not. I think the most exercise cals I have ever eaten back is like 300 after a 1000 cal workout.

My 1530 is set for two pounds per week loss. Last week I lost over 5 lbs.

For a 1/2lb or so a week loss - I consume 2100-2200 NET calories. I am currently in maintenance and am in the 2300-2500 NET range. I currently weigh right around 145lbs (with a normal range of 143-150).

1280 I workout a minimum of 3 to 5 times weekly and I eat back some of my workout calories. I also give myself one day a week to go over and so far it hasn't affected my weight loss.

I do 1200 net calories per day, but usually burn around 600 exercising, which allows me to eat 1800.

Oh yeah, and I am hoping to lose around 40 more pounds.

Mine is 1200 before exercise and I eat all my exercise calories. I try to net 1200 per day. I've just eaten a banana because otherwise I would have been below 1200 net. I went over my allowance yesterday and still lost 3.5 pounds this week

I have mine set for maintenance, and it's giving me 2300 calories. On days I work out, I usually need to get over 3000.

Mine is set at 1330 (2lbs/wk) That said I typically eat around 1400-1700 a day depending on how much I exercise. MFP pal is a amazing tool to use, but only you and your doctor can determine what is the best intake for you and what is "working".
