Hi,

I always used to be that skinny kid and never worried about my weight. Then last summer one of my kids gave me a shirt with a beer gut reference, I chuckled yeah he was right.

But some time around Christmas it hit me... damn I am down right pudggy.

So here I am with a 33lbs weight loss goal. Add me and I will do my best to motivate you and hope you do the same for me!

Hi Rick.....I hear ya....although I was the opposite I have always been heavy....My name is Patricia and would like a friend, I also am 45 years old.....
  • Rick, I never worried about my weight either. But, last summer I realized I weighed exactly what I did on the day I gave birth to my daughter. (20 years ago). I was 44 years old, 5'8" and 163 pounds. When did I become pudgy? The best thing I did was to join this site to make me be accountable for the calories I was consuming. The second-best thing I did was to buy a book called the Fat Belly Diet at a used book store for $5. This way of eating has changed my life and I have dropped to 139 and have kept it off since May of last year. It is not hard to follow and it makes sense. I am a RN and have a good knowledge of metabolism and what a body needs. So I found most diets seem to be lacking in some nutrients or just too complicated. Any way, this diet has worked for our household and my husband who is 57 years old has also lost a much-needed 30 pounds. Good luck, you are already on your way just by loggin in here.
