Wow, I read a previous posting asking a simple question and was shocked at all the hate comments. It would be great if everyone was able every single day to eat only the good healthy foods in the most natural way possible. Reality sets in and sometimes people look to a shake or a vitamin to try and improve their health in the places they might be lacking (time to make it, money to buy only healthy foods, pressures of tight schedules). Im glad we have options to choose from personally. As far as screaming at MLM's.... Its just simply a bad arguement. Choose who gets the profit of you money. You can go to GNC and get sales pressure and recommendations for products that the person isn't even using. And that profit goes to corporate. Do your own research, choose a product that you LIKE and works for you! Not all of us like spinach or beets, so we find what tastes right for us and what makes us feel good. Don't use the MLM is a scam to make your choice. These companies wouldn't be running if it were. Dont be fooled that MLM is only out for profits, your local store will do the same you just dont have the message boards filled with people screaming about it. Now, let the haters begin. :)

I'm glad that there are so many choices out there for how to get the nutrients that I sometimes lack. After trying a few different protein shakes out there, I found one that I drink daily and makes me feel great and boost my energy. I'm very thankful for that because as hard as I try I don't eat enough veggies and oftentimes don't have enough time to make a huge salad (3 kids under 5, I'm always busy lol).

I didn't read about the MLM argument but you did bring up a good point about the profit money going either to a corporate or to a person who is part of the MLM, whichever you chose it IS going somewhere. Plus, usually the people who are involved in MLM really do care about your health and well-being instead of being money driven ;). I'm sad that some people who are involved in MLMs have put such a bad taste in people's mouths.

There's a difference for paying for a product for what it's worth rather than paying for a product so that "upline" gets a cut.
Paying for a shake at $3-$4 per serving and one at $1 dollar a serving for similar results is definitely a big difference. Did the company that cost you a $1 per serving make money? Yes. But it's pennies, and the company that costs you $3-$4 a serving also makes pennies on the serving. So where does the rest of that money go? To UPLINES. That's how MLM's UPLINE make money. They may not have any direct connection to your sale at all (they don't make it, don't ship it, don't advertise for it, don't really manage it, but SOMEHOW make a good cut for it). That's why MLM's charge ALOT more for a product that could actually sell for a lot less.
