Water Retention

This has probably already been asked, but I'll ask again anyway. I had a baby back in March of last year and have recently started trying to lose weight again. I started out with just counting calories and I was losing about 1.5 lbs a week. Within the last week I have been drinking lots of water (5-8 cups). Sadly, before that I wasn't drinking anything at all daily...I never was thirsty. I also have been throwing 30-60 minutes of Wii Just Dance for some exercise. Since I started this I haven't lost a thing. I've gained and lost a couple ounces, but I haven't seen any weight loss at all. Am I just retaining water from the exercising and drinking so much water? Will it just take a while for my body to hit a tipping point and the water weight will start leaving? Sorry if this is a newbie question, but I'm trying to figure out whats going on. PS...my salt most days stays under 2000.

Well...nvm. I would delete this, but I can't find a way to do it. I looked at my diary and my salt intake was outrageous this weekend. Makes sense.
