bulking and eating over

i have seen a few people who are bulking that have stopped logging food. if you are bulking does it really matter how much you are going over your calories as long as you are eating good amounts of protein? i know the idea is to gain muscle and try to minimize fat gain which would account for the reason most people log on a bulk i would assume. but is it really that bad if you go over your set calories some days and is it benificial or harmful to stop logging when bulking?

Did you read that Lyle McDonald article? I think that will answer your question... there are a few methods to bulking, but I would not be able to trust myself not logging. That article really clarified a lot for me... here is the link in case it's buried:

3k cal bulk here, i log every day because i will end up under eating. I try to get right on the mark of 3k, but don't care too much if i go over.0
