Beginner vegan

Options
Eight months ago went vegetarian (no fish either) and I loved it, I found it surprisingly easy to do. And then i gave it up a month ago. Not because I really wanted to but because I bowed to peer pressure. I hate that I did this! Admitedly since giving up I can probably count the number of times I have had any meat on my hands.

Because I gave up for the wrong reasons I am going to go back to being a vegetarian. My ultimate goal is to be vegan. I was wondering if anyone has any tips? I am on a very very strict budget so any suggestions will have to keep that in mind.

The following is basically all I ever buy (with the occasional little addition here and there):
- chickpeas
- mixed beans (inc.baked)
- brown rice
- wholewheat rice
- wholewheat couscous
- tinned tomatoes
- lentils
- dried cannelini and soya beans
- various frozen vegetables (inc. soya beans)
- fresh tomatoes and cucumber
- fresh fruit
- soya/rice milk

I know it is boring, but any suggestions as to what I can add to it that will spice it up a bit (oh speaking of which, I rely on the many spices of the world to jazz my otherwise broing meals up).
