Has anyone else done the walking video done on youtube (it was suggested on here) and if so how did you log it? It involves brisk walking with some variations.

I have Leslie Sansones dvd walk away the pounds. I do it every once in a while if I cant get to the gym. I think it is a great routine.

Forgot to add, if you dont use a heart rate monitor to count your calories burnes I would log it as "walking"
  • I use it. I started with the 1 mile for a month with some 2 lb. weights I got at walmart not the weighted balls that are used in the dvd.

After a month I moved onto the 2 mile again with the weights. Now I'm working in the 3 mile walk for the abs but not using the waist training belt; I'm not using any weights right now, but once I'm doing it all the time I'll start working them into the routine.

So far, so good; lost 13 lbs since 11/4/11. I know the walking has helped immensely; I had lost 50 lbs several years ago by walking several miles every day with my labrador. When I lost my walking buddy I got lazy and put some of the weight back on. Now that I'm over the menopause hump I'm taking it off. I don't need a four footed companion to do the dvds and it's so unlike just plain old walking.

You really do get a good workout. Break a good sweat and feel fantastic afterwards. I count it as walking in the exercise section and depending on which one I do I either pick the 4 mph or the 5 mph version. Trust me - you speed walk in the 3 mile and it's a 45 minute long stay in place haul!
