My name is Nickie Black and I am going to have the Sleeve Surgery done probably in July. My insurance has a 6 month waiting period before they will pay for it. I have had a weight problem all my life. It seems that I have no metabolism. I have lost 80 lbs 3 times now in my lifetime, once on Nutri Systems, once by starving myself and the last time through doctors care with perscription medication, and I am now at my highest weight 244lbs. I am only 4 ft 11 so you can see I am about as wide as I am tall. I feel miserable now. I can't walk very far or do much without huffing and puffing, and I am so discusted with my self that I really don't want to do anything or go anywhere.
I just found out about the sleeve surgery and I am very excited to go ahead with this program!!! Even though I am 60 years old they say that I will be a good candidate. I sure am glad, because if I was to get much bigger I probably would not get out of bed.
I have met with the psycholgist and nutritionist and am just starting their program and an exercise program.

I really need a support group to go to close to Bothell WA. People who have had the sleeve surgery already or are going to have it done. Can anyone let me know of a group that meets my needs?
