I am really confused. I ate around 1200 calories every day in the summer, lost 15 pounds, and am now stuck in a rut. The weight seemed to come off so easily over the span of summertime (3 months) but it's moving at a glacial pace now. Should I up my calories to 1400 or 1500 a day or will that be worse? Thanks!

Have you increased your excercise or made any other changes. i platued when I started working out more. It kind of put my body into stress mode so I had to shake things up by making some minor diet changes temp..0

without seeing your food diary it is hard to make suggestions..generally when i go through a plateau i have to look at the whole picture-- what am i eating, when am i eating it , how many times a day do i eat, and what is my exerciese regime and has my exercise regime been the same for awhile?... after answering all that i change things around . im experimenting this year and trying to switch things around every other week. its extra work to figure it out but so far im having nice results from it .
i went through a plateau for months last year. i was seeing my trainer and doing heavy weights. what we found out was that while i didnt lose weight on the scale, i went down a size and lost 8% body fat and gained muscle definition. i made changes after that and the scale started to move again thankfully.0 -
Try setting your calorie goal to maintain your weight - - - lose 0 pounds per week - - - and eat ALL those calories for a week or two. You'll maintain your weight for those two weeks. . .. maybe gain a pound or two - - - But it could reset your body and snap you out of starvation mode, if that's what you're in.0
