Hi, i'm Karen, i'm 32 and just started using the app last week. I was searching around the app store on my iphone and it sounded good, i had no idea there was a whole online community with it. I have never really dieted because I know myself, the second I can't have something it's all I crave, no matter what. Besides, diets don't work, you need to change your lifestyle forever. I hate the gym. last summer i got really motivated, bought a a bike, and was riding 10 miles 3 days a week...until I developed runners knee, from bike riding, and could barely walk, and I'm on my feet all day at work. and I really didn't lose any weight with it, just got more in shape.
What i'm doing right now is becoming aware of what i eat. I have never paid attention to it and never really cared. I lost 4 pounds last week but not through anything I really did. Have I decided not to eat something when I saw how many calories it was? Yes, but I am still eating bagels and all sorts of crap. As i learn and expand myself I know I will gradually start to eat better and make better decisions. I am seeing how much I am lacking in nutritional values.
