Hi guys,
I'm new to the forums here, and in real life I tend to act like I understand fitness plans, but man, I seriously don't...I mean, I understand that in order to gain muscle, you have to gain weight, am I right? But the problem is, I've been puny all my life. I grew up as the poor scrawny girl, and even though I'm somewhat less poor now, I'm still used to eating just enough each day, and saving the rest for the week ahead. I ration like CRAZY.
I've always been picked on/taken advantage of, and my boyfriend really wants me to gain some confidence and self-defense skills so I won't be so nervous and skittish in public. I love doing cardio and working out, but it's the eating thing that's a problem. Do I seriously have to commit to the recommended amount? How does one manage to eat so much each and every day?
I'm a pescetarian. What sorts of foods make a 2,020 calorie goal manageable?
Thanks!
PS: If anyone in the Bay Area would like to be running partners, I'm game!
