I'm 47 and have lost over 100 lbs at least 9 times. The constant gaining weight and sometimes losing weight has been a life's obsession. So the journey begins again. I have been on the process for 16 days and everything is going fine. The problem is, I have never been able to keep it off once I lose it.

People can say just keep doing the things that got you there. Just eat healthy and watch your calorie intake. Keep up the exercise. Maintain your discipline. If you have a little fumble and you eat something that you shouldn't have, just accept it and start again. All of these answers have wisdom and are considered great advice, I concur.

I am aware of the fact that most of the eating is due to some emotional issues. I am so far gone at this point, I don't know if I can ever actually maintain a steady weight. In the 47 years that I've lived, I have never been the same weight for more than a couple of weeks. So for all of you who have lost weight and kept it off, I solute you.

I'm not really looking for any advice, I guess I'm just trying to work a few things out. I have no solution. There must be one, I assume for everyone it's different. I just wish I could figure out the puzzle.

For those people who are young and and 10 to 20 lbs to lose. Don't start dieting, it can and most likely will become an obsession. Please just cut down a little on your eating and exercise a little more. Don't let eating (or not eating) define your life.

I guess I'm done rambling, Good night
