I am new, actually, I am a few days into this. At my heaviest I weighed 330 lbs at the age of 21. I began dating and decided to start losing weight. It has been a long road of ups and downs but I really feel in the few days I have been on this site that is works. Here are some of my previous Diets that I have tried.
1. Low Carb- walking/running 2 miles day. I lost about 70lbs in 3 months over the summer, but once school returned, I packed on weight again. Main change was cutting out regular soda and starting to exercise.
2. That year I didn't exercise much and stayed around 265 270lbs.
3 Summer of being 22 I started weight lifting, but didn't do much cardio, got down to 250ish
4. Started walking and running again, and eating less got down to 235 but would gain again the next year.
5 22-25 still weight lifted on and off, swam, but ate wrong, would fluctuate between 230- and 250
6. 25 till now. Got a busier assistant ship, and moved out to a new area, weight dropped and stayed at 230 to 235. Started doing Yoga last year and have been able to cut out most alcohol (spent a few years drinking a few drinks 5 nights a week) from my diet. I still run and try to weight train (dead-lifts, squats, bench, pull ups) at least one day a week.
Prior to joining this site, I was starving myself out of desperation to lose weight, and I was low on money at the end of my semester ( I am a masters student). I was eating around 1200--1600 calories a day, and doing an hour and a half of power yoga, running and sometimes lifting weights. My body was revolting and my trumpet playing was spiraling.
In the 3 and a half days I have been on here, I have been shocked at my constant energy level and the amount I have been able to eat! I feel great, and my weight has actually dropped since 3 days before! I think this is the real deal! Eating the amount of calories for what you do day to day. I am at 222.4 as of today and have a feeling that using this will get me down to 180 or lower by the end of the semester! Feel free to add me!
