Doing for Two

Options
My husband was just diagnosed with diabetes (although, I'm not sure that's what you'd call it - he's producing too much insulin), so we go to the doctor on Thursday to find out what we need to do as far as his diet and excercise.

Who am I kidding? I need to do it, too, so it's a good motivator!

My husband is 5'11, and weighs about 350 pounds; I'm 5'4" and about 260 pounds.

I used to be very athletic - track, cheerleading, soccer, basketball, softball, general running. I smoked way too much pot in college, ate too much, and stopped excercising. I fluctuate about 20 pounds during the year, but I've been the same general size for about 8 years now.

I don't feel healthy, even though I do still play beer league softball every summer. I have high blood pressure and have strained my ACLs in both knees due to my weight and still thinking I'm young and healthy. Husband is down on himself because he let himself get that big, and he now HAS to do something about it.

Friends are good, motivated friends are better! I found an easy pin on Pinterest (yeah, I'm an interwebz junkie) for starting out slow. Today is the day!

(and no, I'm not pregnant - the two is for me and my husband)
