Subway

For some reason I go most of my days and dont eat too much and am fine. The days I go to Subway though I am usually starving after about an hour of eating there. Anyone else feel this way? Anyone have a guess or scientific conclusions to this phenomenon?
I get the chicken breast on wheat, all veggies. no sauce, no cheese no oil..... Its not the sodium, I go way over on other days and it doesnt happen.

That may have to do with the amount of food you are eating. When I was on Medifast if I cheated and ate a large meal I would be so so so much hungrier before.
I'm no nutritionist and it could be different for different bodies. Just my two cents.0 -
I would take a stab at the fact that it's low quality nutrition for the most part.
Though, I don't know what it is at Subway you are eating, the majority of it is garbage.0 -
I feel hungry too , plus it has so much sodium. When I look at my diary the day I had subway was one of the days I ate the most.0

If you're eating the chips with olestra that may be why your getting hungry after eating there. Just a thought?0

I used to go there for lunch pretty often. Then I started logging my food on here and realized the amount of sodium I was eating. I'm constantly having to tell them to add more veggies, and I don't know what kind of mystery meat is in the grilled chicken. Not sure what you're ordering, but I wouldn't make a huge habit of it if I were you.0

I always feel stuffed right after and then 45-60 minutes later, I'm starving. I always chalked it up to bread being a fast-digesting carb? I have no idea why, but I stopped eating there and started eating lunch with more protein and I am not nearly as hungry!0

Processed foods will always give the body that 'empty' feeling quickly after meals. Stick to complex yet healthy foods. And eat tons of greens!!!!! Stay away from the processed bread at Subway. Have them make you a big salad and fill up all you want on the greenery!!!0

I eat their Veggie Delight a couple times a week and haven't had this issue. I eat there as a healthier take out alternative than McD's, BK, TB, pizza joints. Maybe add more veggies??0

Justjoshin is right, I worked for over a year at a subway and I can tell you that the meat, bread, and at least the olives are not really that good because they are canned and or processed foods. The meats while not the worst quality aren't the best either. And the bread isn't really whole grain.
I know that when you eat foods that are whole foods you stay fuller longer.0 -
I'd say it's somewhere between the carbs from bread and. no sauce, no cheese no oil.....0

I am thinking a combination of
"low quality nutrition for the most part "
"bread being a fast-digesting carb?" and
"Processed foods will always give the body that 'empty' feeling quickly after meals. Stick to complex yet healthy foods."
Like many foods I am finding this one just isnt contributing to the new me. Thanks everyone for answering!0 -
I guess I"m one of the few as I've never had that issue. Drink water with the sub ... you may be thirtsy and you're body thinks you're hungry. They do have a lot of sodium in their foods... on the days I eat there I drink more water.0
