Bored - need suggestions

lately I find I am extremely bored at the gym. I dread going and that is certainly not going to help me get off these last 45 pounds. Any suggestions? I try reading or listening to music or even watching the tv on the elliptical but it is so boring. The past few weeks I have been skipping the gym a few times a week and shoveling snow instead, less boring.

    Do something besides the elliptical perhaps? Try weights or circuit training or some kind of class if your gym has that and that's something you may enjoy.
  • Mix it up! If it's nice weather, get outside and go for a run or bike ride! If you're stuck in the gym try mixing it up with some circuit training -- I like using the Nike Training Club fitness app. Or try a fitness class at your gym (or online at Yufit.com). Don't let yourself get bored because then you won't want to keep working out! Good luck!

    Good ideas thanks. Its hard to get outside right now but once summer hits I will. Now Im off to find a good app to use. :)
