    thanks everyone for your responses. i think i have more choices than i can get to now! you guys rock. i actually picked up a 100 box of Federal ammo for $28. I did find it online for about .14 per round but I didn't think i needed 1000 rounds of ammo that i've never shot before. i will looking for some .380 rounds for the Walther as well.

    Thats why I do most of my range shooting with the 9mm. I can get it a lot cheeper. I do like my 40 cal as well, but the best quality stuff that I have found that is inexpensive is either the Wincheser or Remington-UMC value packs at Wal-Mart. Im not to crazy about some of the cheaper stuff. Expecially the steel cased stuff. If you can find it, PMC is reasonably priced and of decent quality. If I were you I would check out some of the larger gun shows when they come around your area. Good luck.
