Rule of Thumb for Calories Burned?

I'm about to go take a core-oriented fitness class that lasts for half an hour, and it certainly makes you sweat! I was thinking, is there a way to calculate how many calories I will burn? And maybe a rule of thumb for any future kinds of fitness classes I might take?
