In 4 weeks I will be having a hysterectomy and will be home for 6 weeks recovering. The first week or two I'm sure I'm not gonna be too mobile and I'm worried about "snacking" througout the day. I want to try to take care of this ahead of time and have some sort of plan in place...
I was thinking of having my son help me pack a softsided cooler with some fresh, low fat snacks...now I just need ideas...

I had a hysterectomy in 2007...really didn't feel much like moving the first 4-7 days. I kept some locarb EAS shakes around - strawberry, dark choco fudge and vanilla. They helped keep the protein intake up, have decent vitamins and lo-cal/carb. They are in a silver package and you can find 4 pks at Walmart. Kept me off my feet as well - easy to grab. Take care and heal properly! Good luck with your surgery!0
