I laughed so hard when I read this to my friend who works in dietary and she thinks it's a diet not just for nurses!

 They left out the part about going from drinking at least cups of water on day one and having to go down to no more than 8 sips to deal with the fact that you MIGHT get time to go to the restroom one time in a 12 hr shift

According to the ultrasound, my bladder can hold almost half a liter! My manager's can hold 600mL. HOLY CRAP lol.

That's funny....I think that's why I ended up gaining so much to begin with. 12 hour shifts, exhausted, food everywhere, etc.

Yep.....I worked nights (I stay at home with my kids now). I would be so hungry at the end of a shift I would just eat the quickest thing I could find before falling dead asleep. It's hard!!

I was an RN for several years before having my first child... Fast forward, and I have a c-section with 1st baby. It's time for the foley to come out the next morning. Hours go by, and my RN is harassing me about not having peed since the foley came out. When I finally get the urge to go, I overflow the hat in the toilet. Let's say my bladder can easily hold 1000ml ;)

I have routinely overflowed a 1500ml urinal.I was taught in the ICU that "You pee on your own time"
And who hasn't eaten out of an emesis basin with tongue blades?
