p90x help

I am doing p90x. I did the shoulders and arms workout yesterday, and I need some more weight. I am a little nervous about what to pick next. I am pretty big girl, and I am doing the lean version. I used the 2lbs last time. They say 12-15 reps for lean..feel the burn do two more. I could do 20, and MAYBE start to feel the burn. What do you suggest I go to? 5lbs or 10lbs? I would have to buy the 5's. I want to be a little sore but not extremely sore, I have a 7month old I have to constantly lift. I was resistant because, you know. Low on cash. Thanks for your help!

Buy the 5lb weights, an when that feels to ligh go to the 8lb and then 10. You will feel a big difference with the extra 2lbs. I lift 8lbs and tere are some moves where I can do te 10 but not many.0

Try the 5 next and if that doesn't give you the burn bump it up0

Buy the 5lbs and 8lbs. Do most of your sets w/ the 5 lbs and do one set with the 8lbs as many of the reps as you can do.0

Definitely go for the 5's because going straight up to 10's will be too big a jump. I love P90X, isn't Tony great?0

For my experience, this is my advice. If you can afford it, try to get a simple dumbbell set that allows you to change the weight by moving a pin around. Walmart, Target, Sears have them at a decent price and I think they go from 5 lbs up to 15 or 20 lbs. Also, believe it or not, good quality resistance bands will make you work hard, depending on how big the loop you step on is.0

I agree about the 5 lbs, but what I'm looking at is that you will get stronger in no time with P90X if you push yourself, and soon enough you'll want to increase the weight.0 -
I agree with trying to get a set with multiple weights. I find I use different weights for different exercises and like having different choices.0
