lol Im only 5ft 1 inch and i would like to know if anyone else out there feels the heat of trying to meet the the ideal weight books and things have told you what it should be. Why it says that my lowest weight can be 97 pounds!! that's is so weird. Who else has this problem?

  • I'm 1.57m or about 5'2" & for my medium frame, my ideal weight should be from 118-132lbs. Right now I weigh 120lbs but I have the same clothes size as with people who weigh 100lbs or less. However don't stick with what others say about ideal weight. Scale doesn't tell it all & remember that your bodyweight is composed of fat, lean body mass, organs, bones & water. Your goal should be to preserve lean body mass because muscle is our biggest fat burning device. Don't just judge your progress by the scale, measuring tape, clothes, overall strength/stamina & body fat measurements tell more than the scale.
  • yeah lol my hips measurement hasn't changed much while my waist measurement shrunk a whole lot it's quite funny lol

    I'm 5'0!

I know it's crazy about the lowest weight! I was about 135 and I loved my body. I have a big butt so that's where the 'junk' was, lol. I do hear you on that. I am determined to get back to 130!! I am adding you if that is ok? :)

I am 5'2 and MFP says that my lowest healthy weight should be 104. If I got down to 104 I would look like a scarecrow! I want to lose weight to be healthier and look healthier. Not to go from looking fat to looking sick. Lol. Some people might be able to pull off the 100 pound look but I am soo not one of them
