Does anyone else use the Jillian Michaels Frontside for beginners workout DVD? I've been using it, and it's circuit training. It lasts about 40 minutes, and when I plug 40 minutes into MFP, it says I've burned about 570 calories. To me, it seems like it's a lot! Is it just me or does anyone else think that? Do you think it's pretty accurate?

I would recommend getting a heart rate monitor to measure your calorie burn just to have something to compare against. Or borrow one from someone you know. Once you know if there is a difference between what MFP is marking and what the HRM is showing, then you can get a baseline idea of your actual workout. When I run on the treadmill, I have to use the HRM to compare against what the treadmill calculates my calorie burn is. Sometimes it's close enough. Other times, no.0

I do that DVD and log it as "aerobics, low impact". 40 minutes comes in at about 240 calories, which seems closer to the mark. I can't afford a heart rate monitor so I have to make my best guess sometimes!0

I have been logging mine as calestenics at home. I get about 300 cal burned.0
