Could you theoretically leave a hrm running all day long on a resting day and get a BMR reading that was more accurate than the online calculators?

thats basically the idea behind bodybugg/body mediafit etc. they run 24/7 and tell you how much you burn. but andre is correct - its your tdee (total daily energy expenditure) , not bmr.
ive been really considering getting a bodybugg but i just cant fit it and the monthly website fee into the budget right now.

No, you cant... HRMs use a formula to calculate calories burned that assumes a higher oxygen exchange that only happens during exercise.

At least that's what I've been told/read in other posts... maybe wait for more responses to verify.
