Pre-workout Help

I am looking for a good PRE-workout supplement to add to my routine. Nothing too crazy, just looking for something that will give my muscles what they need/want more of during the workouts.

I am trying to cut my body fat (college beer gut, lol) and add some muscle size/definition. Workouts usually consist of strength training and 15-40 minutes of cardio.

Currently I am using Wheybolic Extreme 60 from GNC for post-workout and in the morning occasionally.

Anything you would like to recommend? Thanks!

Be careful with the Jack3d.. it causes issues with your kidneys and urination problems.

Jack3d is cheap and a lot of bang for your buck. Just dont overdo it. Only take it when you lift and dont have too many scoops. You will also need to cycle on and off.

If you want something hardcore, go for Mesomorph by APS Nutrition. That was a good PWO. Gave me a heap of energy.

Dont buy your supps from GNC. Its a rip off.

I've been taking nerocore for the past 3 months. I only take it 2-3 times a week, when I need that extra push. It's not as powerful as jack3d, but it gets the job done for me.
  • I only use a Super B Complex supplement take it an hour before workout, eat energy boosting foods like apples or pineapple, I use energy drink like propel zero or gatorade like a recovery drink while I workout. I can't take those pre-workout drinks coz it causes palpitations and like the previous comments might cause health issues. Be careful. I developed seizures because I was using phentermines and hydroxycut to boost energy but caused me electrical short circuits, thus episodes of seizures. I don't experience those anymore since I stopped a long time ago. Thank god!

I've used a variety of NO supplements over the last 5 years or so (whenever it came out) and here's how I rank their effectiveness:

Black Powder (expensive, though you can find it on the GNC clearance table for cheap)
NanoVpr (VERY EXPENSIVE, I only used it because someone gave me a tub, though it worked the quickest)
NO Xplode (you can find a deal, but can upset your stomach)
JackD (I didn't get the same jolt as with the others)

Other than NO Supplements, you can't go wrong with whey protein. When I don't have any NO I just chug a shake 30 minutes before working out.
