Ok so i wanna tone my thighs, they have always been my main issue since i was probably 20... and have tried several ways over the years to try slim and tone them but to no success... so was just wondering what everyone would reccomend???... i know squats are good, but my knee still recovering from a torn ligament injury which dont help... i recently got myself a treadmill and been using it for the past 4 days (while i have been here).. do you think this alone might help some?.. all ideas would be greatly appreciated... thanks
PS, anyone in a similar situation... feel free to add me so we can work together on this

You can't control how/where your body burns fat. I assume by toning you mean you want to make them look better, i.e. thinner and more defined? To do that you have to burn the fat to make the muscle more visible, and work the muscle so there is something there to show off. Exercise, be patient, eat well, be patient, then be patient and it'll happen. A good mix of cardio and strength training is best. Cardio is pretty straight forward, but strength training might be hard if you have knee problems. Perhaps talk to your doctor about what you should or shouldn't do? Or at least wait for some of the more experience folks on the boards to chime in.0

Pilates leg circles! These are awesome for when you can't walk or do other exercises that put pressure on the knees. You can do them like they show in this video, but I prefer to bend the knee of the resting leg (with the foot on the ground but not the whole leg) because I find keeping the resting leg resting on the floor uncomfortable.

unfortunately due to very little interest in spinning in my area, nowhere offers it... have always wanted to try it but the equiptment so expensive to buy... so this really isn't an option... a good thought though0
