I Hate Treadmills

So I had a gym membership that had an indoor track and I loved it.. Only problem was the hours I worked and by time I got to that gym I only got a good hour or so of running in before it closed, especially on nights it rained.

Fast forward to a few months ago, I ended the membership and got a membership to another gym that is open 24 hours a day, however only running I get to do is on a treadmill and to me I don't get the same joy out of running because I can't speed up and slow down like I like to.

Please tell me running on a treadmill will help my running in the grand scheme of things, if not I gotta find a better routine to run at least 3 times a week outside.
