Hi all! I just started myfitness pal and I really love it! You have to be brutally honest about everything that you're consuming, but you get to see exactly where you're messing up. Some things I just can't believe have a ton of calories. Yesterday was a bad day for me with the calories...one late night snack and you're done for! lol

Anyway...I figured I would introduce myself and see if I can make some friends and make getting to my goal more fun. My name is Kim and I am a single mother of four kids. 21, 18, 14, and 7. My two youngest live with me. :) My youngest helps me exercise because she does it with me! We'll get home after work and she'll run and turn on the Wii and put in Just Dance 3 so I don't get a chance to sit down. We'll dance for anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour. Then I'm trying to switch off and do a power walk the next day for 30 minutes. I can really feel that one in my legs. My New Year's resolution is to be more active; and I'm doing it! We're going to the park on Saturdays and I'm trying to walk in the mornings (on weekends) and then dance at night so I get in two workouts.

It seems almost automatic that once I turned 40 I started noticing my weight. My face looked chubby and my pants were too tight; some of them I couldn't wear at all. The most I've ever weighed...157. I would like to get down to 130-135 like I used to be most of my life. I wouldn't even mind weighing 145 if my stomach was flat! lol Anyway, so I guess I'm looking to lose about 30 lbs and, of course, maintain my weight.

So, anyone want to be friends with me and we can chat about food and exercise and new ideas?
