Best Time of Day To Exercise

Is there a better time of the day to exercise? Also, is it "bad" to eat your extra gym calories before you exercise or should it always be done after you have completed exercising? A lot fo times I'll use extra exercising as a punishment for giving in to those cravings throughout the day or I'll reward myself at meal times with a little extra as long as I promise myself to work out a little longer. Anyone else out there do this too?

  • I generally like to exercise late at night, like 11pm to 1am just because the gym is less crowded. I really don't like a crowded gym. I guess depending on your schedule though that probably wouldn't work for a lot of people. As far as when to eat your exercise calories, I never eat them before I burn them, but not out of principle or anything, it's just the way it always works out. I seriously doubt it makes a difference metabolically.
