Hello SBFers, and any new faces who would like to join us. Our challenge started yesterday - everyone sets their own personal fitness/lifestyle goals for the next 4 weeks, and then we post daily on our results to keep ourselves and each other accountable. (SBF = Stronger, Better, Faster) We also just chat about what's going on in our lives and support each other. :flowerforyou:

So, I managed to get up and do my strength workout this morning. I had been planning to go running tonight after work, but my knee and foot have been bothering me so I'm not sure whether I will be up to it. Maybe I'll do a jog/walk combo. I will definitely do my walk at lunch. The good news is that I'm down a pound since last week. Woo-hoo!

Happy workouts, everyone!

P.S. The title got cut off, I meant to say 'St. Patty's Day edition'... Happy St Patrick's Day, all! I am wearing my green.

I started a post at the same time CP did. I knew that would happen if I did that!

    Good morning, pebbles!
It sounds like everyone did GREAT yesterday! I managed to meet all of my goals, though I may have fallen a little short on the water. I lost track. I also managed to eat like four veggies and five fruits! bigsmile I definitely needed a reboot! This has kicked me into gear again.
I noticed this morning that my clothes are tighter, but I am taking that has a good thing, because my upper arms are bigger too! I haven't really worked out in a while, so I expected it to happen. I was going to use a day off today but I am not doing much of anything, so I have time. I will take tomorrow off.
    Today's goals:
    Go for a walk
    eat fruits and veggies
    drink all my water
    log my food/stay within cals
maybe go visit my neighbor who is in the nursing home
do something fun with my son (make a tent or something lol)
I think that's it! You all did awesome yesterday! Let's make it another great one! Have a happy flappy!

And by later, I apparently mean two minutes later.tongue

Today I have a session with my trainer. After the last one, I was sore for three days, so I'm hoping for a bit of a repeat. She does high intensity cardio/weight bearing/strength circuit exercises. She's a little adorable a**-kicker, and I love her.

I still feel a bit wonky. This is one of the weirdest illnesses I've ever had. . .and I've had some exotic ones in my travels. (samples: Malaria and Dysentery. I'm like a civil war soldier.) One minute I feel fine (even having great workouts) and then I try to do something mildly challenging (like walking up a hill) and I'm out of breath and dizzy. Fun!

    So, today:
    hydrate
multivitamin and iron (I keep forgetting to take both, and have to watch the anemia right now)
    training
    two hours of project work
meal planning/cooking for the rest of the week.

Wooooo. . .another busy day as a productive citizen:tongue:

    Take care of yourselves!:flowerforyou:

Apparently, cp, mm and I are really, really excited about the re-boot. . .

I'm posting here, since it was sort of first, since MM moved. For all the new people - this usually doesn't happen - I guess everyone is excited about starting a new challenge.

Yesterday: 3 yoga classes and bike ride to one of them. Nothing remarkable from the yoga classes.

Today: hoping for 3 yoga classes (2 of them flow classes) + a bike ride. Also get a haircut. I've been putting it off for a while. If I have time, I need to do some yard work as well.

    Happy, Flappy workouts!

Good morning everyone! Thanks for all the welcomes!!!

    Goals for the day:

    Drink all of my water.
    Stay within my calorie limit.
    Get a good workout in.
Go to all my classes (tend to have a little trouble with this Tuesdays and Thursdays due to me running out of steam)
If it becomes nice out like it was supposed to I would also like to go for a walk around campus ... but as of now it looks like rain so we will see.

    Have a good day all!!

I was laughing out loud - I come back on and find THREE threads going! I guess mine won out. It really is SBF2: Reboot Boogaloo...

Take it easy on yourself, V. I studied in Ghana for a semester, so I knew a few people who had malaria, but dysentery just reminds me of that old Oregon Trail computer game. (Anyone?) I thought it was crazy enough that my husband had the mumps and scarlet fever as a kid - I didn't think anybody got those diseases anymore.

I think I'm going to go home and do a yoga DVD (nothing compared to your hundred classes, Mary) instead of trying to run today - my knee isn't thrilled with all the jumping around I've been doing in aerobics. I can't seem to remember to keep it low-impact, and it doesn't hurt until I'm done. So I will have to come back to the running over the weekend.

Enjoy the rest of your day, everyone!

I just got back from my walk. I was planning to go for a stroll for about 30 minutes. I ended up pulling my son in the wagon for 45 minutes! Whoo hoo!
CP, Alex had strep in November. Day after starting antibiotics, he broke out all over his face. Found out he had scarlet fever too! I didn't know people could still get that. I thought that was one of the vaccines he had. Thankfully it didn't get too bad since he was on meds.
Debating on whether to go out and work on my car or not. It's a beautiful day and I should be outside doing something!
Alright, off to get my fruit and drink lots of water!

Just got back from my training session. It's 50 degrees and the sun is out. How can you beat that?

MM, strep can turn into scarlet fever. That's what they think triggered my fibro. I had strep and was too stubborn to go to the doctor. Yep, I'm a genius.

    Hi

    Goals:

    Log in all meals: Yes
Stay in cals: Over but only by 100 cals, better then yesterday
Eat healthier: Not bad had a small baked good, but ate lots of veggies
Exersise three days a week: 30 minutes biking
Work only 8.5 hrs: Worked about 9.5

    So all in all B-

and I would have done only 20 minutes biking but knowing I was going to post tonight I said I at least have to go 30mins.......so very happy I'm posting again

oh, big (((( hugs )))))) all around to my old friends. I have had a very lazy day. Maybe I should "reboot" with all of you nice people.

If only I could figure out what it is...SBF= Stronger, Better, Faster, and then you set personal goals, right?....Goals?? Is that the drill? I've taken up running since I last talked to all of you...I'll come up with a plan.

I'll lurk your thread for a few days and try to figure out what you are doing, then I'll chime back in?

Anne, sounds like you did pretty good. I also am going over 100 cals but oh well. It still counts as a loss, just not much of one. My DH wanted biscuits for dinner that I didn't count for earlier in the day. I can't pass up breads very easily! I'll get in a little cleaning tonight to make up for it. Still working on water. Don't know if I am going to make it today. I'll try.
I've met the other goals for the day though. See you all tomorrow!

Just took my iron, which means I've met all my goals for the day. :drinker:

The sunshine, longer days and warmer weather are making it easy.

Cheryl, you know we'd love to have you.:flowerforyou:

Well I did decently today ... although not as well as yesterday.

I went to all my classes! Yay!
    Got a good workout in.
Went a little over in my calories by about 200.
Didn't go for that walk. Where do all the hours go in a day? I wonder...

And even though this wasn't a goal I was proud of myself for this ... I ate veggies as a snack! Very rare for me.

And I enjoy that people grade themselves so I'm going to do it too! I'll give myself a B for the day.

Sounds so far like everyone else did well too! Congrats!

Im so glad I found this thread.

    Nicole
