I've been using MFP for about two weeks now. I've been trying to give up sodas all together, but I feel like I have no energy and headaches from lack of caffeine. I know someone who lost quite a bit of weight with they help of Hydroxycut hardcore. I'm at war with myself. On the one hand, I want to try it for the extra energy and caffeine. And, on the other hand it makes me nervous because there have been so many reviews that say it's too much caffeine and can cause heart rhythm problems. I've also looked at the GNC women's energy vita-packs. Does anyone have any experience with either of these the hydroxycut hardcore or GNC energy vita-packs? What do y'all think? Would it be worth it to try it? I haven't gone to the gym the last couple of days because I've felt pretty crappy, lack of energy, hurt shoulder. I don't want to miss any more days at the gym. I want to make it a daily habit. But, I didn't know if something like this would help give me energy. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Charity

  • While I was never a soda junkie I've been a caffeine junkie for awhile. What I do is for every cup of coffee I drink I drink a corresponding cup of water. I then started drinking tea instead of coffee, at least with only having a cup or two a day. I'm still drinking the extra water since my body is used to it and my Dr has told me that what I'm doing has proved to be a good solution. I'm drinking in excess of a gallon a day in addition to tea and coffee. I know it doesn't help with the soda addiction but it will help cancel out the caffeine at least.

I too love my caffeine - Iced Tea (year round). I don't think your lack of energy is totally caffeine. If you have been caffeine free for several days, you should be back in sync. If you are eating well (protein, good fats, and quality carbs) - you should not have a total lack of energy.

If tea is completely unpalatable to you - "energy waters" might be worth looking into. For me diet pills are just a gimmick. I am over weight because I have bad eating habits and didn't exercise (at all). I am working on making LIFESTYLE changes because I know (form me anyway) that is the only way I will keep the weight off forever.
