Be very careful not to injure yourself. Resistance bands are a much safer way for women to tone and build muscle with less occurance of injury. Many dvd's utilize them, the ones I use are Leslie Sansone Walk away the pounds. Or...go to a local gym for a few classes to get an idea of what you are doing. Another resource is magazines like Fitness and Women's health, they always have exercises you can do at home.
