I've been told drinking protein shakes can help with toning? Is it true?
If so, what brands are the best (I'm in the UK)...
When is it best to take in?
Are there different recipes etc?

um you should be getting ur proteins from food.. protein shakes are supplements.. n exactly that... if u dont get enough protein THEN drink a shake...

brands.. they all have protein in them n r all good.. what you are paying for is the flavour n how good it mixes... one of my faves is bluestar WHEY smooth or isowhey...
  • well I got told...hence why I'm asking for other opinions that if you exercise etc...and want to build muscle, you can use these shakes?

I am drinking the Jay Robb egg-white protein shakes, once daily.
High in protein, low in sugar, many flavors, mixes well, also
easy to find in most health food stores, but great prices on
    Amazon too.
    imho, :) J

THIS. only use them if you arent getting enough protein through your food. with that being said, try to eat lots of lean meats. When i have a lot of carbs throughout the day and not enough protein i turn to to my wheybolic extreme 60. it has an amazing calorie/protein/carb ratio and is pretty delicious.
