Do you adjust your calorie intake on MFP?

I just read another post on here referring to the Katch McArdle method... according to that method, I should be eating *at least* another 300 calories a day (from what MFP has me doing)...

My question is, how many of you adjust MFP according to different methods, and does it work for you?

I want to do this right and not put my body into starvation mode... so I don't know if I should keep to what I am doing (I've lost 3.6 pounds since Saturday) or if I should adjust to another method? Or should I wait until I hit a plateau and then adjust? I am so confused! :ohwell:

If you want to add about 300 more, down your lost by 1/2 pound a week.

I've completely customized my goals. MFP wants me to net 1980 for maintenance. I know from my own experience that 1980 is too low. So, I have adjusted it to 2300 (though I fluctuate between 2300-2500 net).

Actually, according to the Katch McArdle method... 1440 calories/day would be considered the Extreme weight loss mode... Normal Weight Loss mode would be 1630 calories/day (which is 1 pound a week)

At 1200 calories a day, MFP has me losing 1.3 pounds a week, I think. I have seen a drop in weight since doing this for a couple of days... I just want to make sure I am losing how I am supposed to be?
