Counting Steps.....

I've started using a pedometer to count my daily steps and calories burned. Would you add this information to calories burned -- since this is part of daily mobility?
Second question: Is a pedometer accurate in counting calories burned during aerobics and strength training?
---- Thanks:flowerforyou:

I would say that you can add that to your burned calories.
As far as aerobics go, you probably burn more calories moving around then just taking steps, so I don't. think it would be accurate in determining the number of calories burned0 -
Do you know of any devices that can be worn to accurately determine calories burned during exercise?
A heart rate monitor. I love mine, I have a Polar F6.0 -
Oh okay... great. thanks. :flowerforyou:
Where do you wear it?
It has 2 pieces. A chest strap that you wear just below your bra, and a receiver (a watch) that you wear on your wrist.0 -
I second the Polar F6. I went back and forth because of the cost, but it really is worth it, and you can get a new one on e-bay for $99 with free shipping.
You don't feel the chest strap at all while you are working out, that was what i was most afraid of. I love it, and it is so much more accurate than the machines.0
