5km Running Challenge

Hey is anyone up to running a 5km race with me in March?
I did a running clinic years back and the program was great for those who had never ran before. Its a walk/run program designed so you slowly prepare muscles/joints to minimize injuries.
It is an 8 week commitment of running 3x per week. I will post every weekend what the upcoming week of training will be (or you can also use couch to 5km).
All you have to do is choose a race in your home town and register (uhhh yes that's the accountable part). There are many running event sites online. I use this site:

I am starting the 1st week of February (Jan 30-Feb 5)
I am registering for the BMO St Patrick's Day Race in Vancouver...what race will you do?
Here is your 1st week training:
Week 1
Walk 5 minutes to warm up. Run 3 minutes and walk 2 minutes. Repeat 3 times then walk easy for 5 minutes to recover and cool down. Stretch Total running time: 9 minutes maximum
