Today's Groupon Coupon is 40% off Shake Weights. Are they worth the money?

About as effective as those silly shape up shoes. works for a day or two and then there is no purpose. Plus it looks like you are giving a rhino a "prison handshake"

How much is a good laugh worth to you?

In my opinion, you would be far better lifting some gallon jugs of water than using the Shakeweight if you are looking to build some arm strength.

My husband, at his old job had a boss that used the shake weight. Knocked all her teeth out. $30,000 in dental work.

Some these gimmicks are just not that good, especially as you get more fit. The bikes you pedal under your desk, for one. The vibrating belt, for another.

A TON of people bought those toning shoes; boy did someone make MONEY.

I agree, HOWEVER, with my joint problems... I'm not even sure if it's the shoes or my change in diet, but I'm able to walk further distances now when I wear them as before I could only be on my feet for 15 minutes. Now I can walk for hours without my knee hurting.

Haven't you also lost 37lbs? Losing weight made my knees feel tons better too.

If all you are doing is shake weighting, your training is VERY incomplete.
