I have an inexpensive HRM that I bought at Wal-Mart. It does not have a chest strap. Is there any way to know if it is returning an accurate number of calories burned? It seems to return a number significantly higher than what MFP estimates when I enter my exercise.

I know that MFP calculations for calories burned is inaccurate just like other website calorie burned calculators as well as gym machines.
My HRM has a chest strap-and is accurate I got mine for 89.00 at target its a polar f4 and I love it.
