Public nakedness

Firstly, this topic is not going to be as exciting as the title suggests ...

Yesterday I went for a bra fitting, the lady doing the fitting (M&S) suggested she go outside the cubicle whilst I tried on each bra, and would then come in and check the fitting when I was ready. I reassured her that I didn't have a problem with her seeing me topless and to stay.

This got me thinking, when did I become comfortable with being nude or semi nude in front of a stranger? Its not as though I am in great shape and trying to show off. Must be using the changing room at my gym almost every day for the last 6 months.

I dont think that this is suddenly going to mean that I will start whipping my kit off in public or joining a nudist colony, but I am pleased that I am now fairly comfortable with my body.

Has anyone else experienced this?

If I get no responses to this post I will presume that I am more of a weirdo than I thought.

I'm more comfortable in front of my husband and I walk around the house in sweatpants and a sports bra in front of my family. I think it's a pride thing. You worked hard for it, be proud.

You're not a weirdo. It's normal for sales ladies to see you in various states of undress. It's kind of like the gym. Seen one, seen 'em all.

Good for you for becoming confident.

Losing weight does give you more confidence. I've not gone topless on a beach for well over a decade, but went on holiday in November, and having lost 50lb spent lot of the time shirtless :-)

No, your not wierd! Well, if you are, I am! I think that as you get older and in my case, having had children (don't know if you have?) I have become so much more laid back about getting my kit off! It's not as you say, like I want t do it, more that I couldn't really care less! We all have the same bits at the end of the day!

Was watching that "my daughter is a teenage nudist" on C4 the other day and it really got me quite mad when people were saying how awful it was... Honestly? It's just someone elses body, how offensive can that be?!

I don't care if people see me but once the nakedness is there you can't unsee it. I feel I should ask first, they may not like to see your boobs!
