    I don't think meth comes in pill form, but it might be possible.

    Try moving your meals later to accommodate your later schedule.

    No . . . you don't.

    What you need is a balanced diet with a sufficient amount of protein to keep you sated.

    Why don't you save some calories for after dinner?

    Most days I'm up until at least 2 AM. I plan my meals accordingly and generally eat right up until 12AM - 1AM.

    You don't need pills. You need to figure out WHY you are hungry. Are you getting enough nutrition in the foods that you are eating? Start by examining your protien, carbs, and fat intake. If they are balanced, great! If not, adjust so that you are getting the proper macronutrients. I find that if I have enough water, fiber, and protein, I'm not nearly as hungry as I would be otherwise. I also find that when I eat too much sugar, I tend to crash and burn later. Complex carbs are my friends though. Simple sugars.... not so much.

    The next step, after figuring out your nutrition is to see your doctor. Get a blood test to see if your hormones are ok and if you are deficient in anything. Personally, I found out I was hypothyroid, and knowing that (and treating it) makes all the difference in my weight loss goals.

    The problem with diet pills is that you need to stop taking them someday. If you don't stop taking them, you risk your health. When you do stop taking them, you will most likely gain all the weight back and then some, because you never addressed the real problem.

    I feel your pain about having to stay up late with your husband. My fiancee is a chef and he gets off late so if I want to see him I have to stay up late too. For whatever reason I, too, become ravenous late at night. Usually about 10/11 when he gets home. I guess its cause I am cooking him dinner. He always offers me some when he eats too which doesnt help...
    I don't know any appetite suppressers but to my understanding most of them involve caffine which would in turn screw up ur sleeping, I'm sure. (I only know about the caffine because my ADHD meds used to be used for weight loss in like the 60s I think. They're stimulants, like caffine. Can't even take my mini-quick release past 3:30 though, otherwise I don't sleep) Anywhoo, your best bet is to eat low cal snacks that will keep you full. I like to keep fruits, nuts and single serve microwaveable veggies in the house for this... and sometimes my fiancee brings me home a small plain salad w/ plain grilled chicken from work :)

    Paula, you're probably not eating enough calories or you're not choosing the right foods. Choose more filing foods. Those high in fiber and lots of proteins. If you spend your calories on empty food (ie. bars, cookies, chips, etc) your body doesn't take long to process them into sugar so youre always hungry. If you eat some green veggies, beans, nuts, meat - your body takes longer to digest those so you stay fuller for longer. Also, like some other people said, plan your meals so that you have calories left for a midnight snack (healthy stuff of course)!
  • I agree you don't need pills.

    But caffeine pills are cheap and suppress appetite. I use them because I can't drink as much coffee as I need to to stay awake xD

    Protein, fat and fiber are all you need to keep the tummy rumblings at bay.

    Up your calorie allowance to maintenance then lower it by .5 a week until you start losing without feeling deprived. This whole concept of jump starting will doom you to failure.

    Pills = crutch
