Hey Can anyone help me. I have been to other calorie websites and i can't find any help.

I have eaten whole jack pieces (whiting fish) BUT THEY ARE NOT FILLETS!!!!! I assumed that 1 fillet would equal one jack but when i do 2 servings on MFP it gives me outlandish calories and I don't think they are correct.

so does anyone know how many calories are in a piece of jack Salmon fish?

thanks

1 fillet can be pretty huge coming off a salmon. How big was it? palm size? is it was palm size I'd guess it was about 3 oz. can you enter it like that? According to weight?

The only way to know for sure is to weigh a piece on a kitchen scale. Once you learn how many ounces is in a particular size, you can eyeball it. But you have to start with facts...

I'm sorry I thought salmon and whiting were two different things...
Salmon is usually pretty big though at least out here in Alaska.

    Hello

thanks for the scale idea maybe I will invest in one. and YES salmon and whiting are two different things but I guess its a southern thing that adopted in teh mid west cause if you go go schnucks grocery(if you have one) in the seafood department they have jack salmon which is whiting. kinda of confusing but i just want to know what I'm eating.

    yhank you
