Vegan - Sugar Issues!

So about 85% of my diet is plant based. However, a lot of these plants happen to be fruits that are high in sugar. I'm wondering if this is a problem, or if it's a good kind of sugar, or if I should replace the fruit with veggies.

Well sugar is still sugar but at least its not all synthesized or processed. I would definetly recommend throwing in some veggies, while being a great source of fiber they seem to fill you up longer too. :)

Even veg has sugar in it. Just focus on eating a balanced diet. A few points high in sugar won't hurt, you just don't want it to be consistently high. I'm vegetarian so I understand the struggles, just really think and plan what you are going to eat.

yes, eating a disproportionate amount of sugar and starches is a problem. Don't eat unlimited amounts of fruit.

If you're finding yourself with a really fruit-heavy diet, you could always try something like a spinach/mixed greens/arugula, etc.. salad with strawberries/mandarin orange pieces/blueberries/grapes, etc... I had a great salad the other day with tons of spinach, blueberries, a few toasted pecans and balsamic vinaigrette!
