I had 2 rest days in a row and felt super guilty... but I had done 11 straight days before that. And when I got back to working out I found I was able to go harder longer... so they really helped out physically. And mentally... I laid in bed and read after work for hours.0

Good to know, it has been 11 days. You just get so scared of mucking it all up hehe0

somewhat yes, yesterday was my first rest day for the year. i usuallly exercise every day for a min of 30mins and my usual rest days i consider to be walking and not running. once i offically start strength training i think i will try harder to make more rest days.
how many rest days per week in your opinion is idea?0 -
I generally don't go to the gym on Sat/Sun. Five days a week is fine and I know this mentally but since I've been on here I do feel guilty or like a slacker if I don't log an exercise that day. I am pretty active and my job is active so I think it's good to have days to recoup and let your muscles rest. If there is time for a walk and you want one, take it but I am not going to stress. It is nice on Saturdays to actually go home after work and not drive straight to the gym.0

I truly find it hard to have a rest day and am just going by my body. I have been doing quite alot of bodyweight excercises like burpees and push ups etc every day along with going for a run every second day. My calf today is a little sore so decided to make it a rest day tomorrow. Has been 11 days so I figured I have to accept I am not invincible and do what my body tells me. I tend to push myself as hard as I can when I do my exercise, cant control it hehe.0
