Hello all im new to fitness pal, I have started going to the gym and need a little help when it comes to a rutine. I have been going for about a week now and still not sure on what to do any suggestions.

    Awesome step in the right direction by heading off to the gym!

    What are you currently doing? What do you enjoy? Are you looking for cardio or strength or both?

    Well, everyone is different so what I like might not be what you like but....

    I do cardio (on the elliptical) three days a week. I do it for 45 minutes (long enough to watch a show on my phone!). I can't really go for longer than that just because I have kids and need to get home but my goal is to increase my intensity rather than the time. I also lift dumbbell weights at home at least twice a week (in the early am before the kiddos get up). Once I get in a bit better shape I will probably replace one day on the elliptical with an hour of swimming. I also try to to some very basic yoga stretches (about 3 or 4) every morning.
