I already did a search and did not find the answer I was looking for. I was wondering does your Net Calories have to negative in order to actually lose weight?? I know the net cals take in what you ate and then you minus your work out, but does it have to be a negative number?

    Nope.

MFP already adjusts your caloric intake based on your weight, height and amount of weight you want to lose each week. The calories a day is what you need to eat in order to lose that desired weight.

Your net calories would normally be lower than your overall calories but it should never be negative. You must be working your *kitten* off in the gym or eating barely nothing if it is!

No, you net calories should not go below 1200 calories. To lose weight all you have to do is eat less then maintenance. If you go to goals and look at calories burned from normal daily activity, eat less than that and you will lose weight.

Also keep in mind that when you workout your maintenance calories increase for that day, so you should be eating most of those calories back as well as your initial caloric goal. So if your goals is 1300 and you burn 300, you should eat 1600 to lose your goal amount of weight.

    no

it should be the SAME as your goal (this will mean eating back exersice cals) as MFP has already deducted the cals to loose your weight

    hope this helps

MFP does all the calculations for you. Just make sure you eat what it says to eat and the cals in v cals out will apply.
